Hypno Gastric band procedure
Below is an outline as to what you can expect to experience over the coming weeks as you undergo your Hypno gastric band installation.
The complete procedure involves four therapy sessions each lasting around 1.5 hours.
The first session is a fact-finding exercise with regard to your eating and exercise habits, we will discuss changes that need to put in place to achieve your goal. These new changes will come from you and assuming you are willing to accept positive change at a conscious level, we will affect change under hypnosis and these new alternative choices will become part of your new behaviour. You will receive a link to download your hypnotic audio of your first session which you will need to listen to every day for at least the first two weeks. The second appointment is arranged for a week later.
The second session involves the pre-op procedure. We will discuss how well your alternative choices are working for you and make any adjustments as required. You will be shown a DVD of the gastric band so you can imagine what is going to happen to you. This is the session when you will meet your surgeon, the surgeon that will fit your gastric band. He will explain the procedure and all the benefits you are about to receive as you can look forward to become Slimmer, Healthier and Fitter. The third appointment is arranged for a week later.
The third session is the operation. We will discuss how well your alternative choices are working for you and make any adjustments as required. The operation takes place and you will be given a second recording to listen to daily. The forth and final appointment is arranged for four weeks time.
The fourth and final session is the post-op; this is where any adjustments to your gastric band will take place. We will discuss how well your alternative choices are working for you and make any adjustments as required.
It’s important that you listen to your recording every day, this will reinforce the therapy.
